Live In Care

‘Live In Care’ is exactly as it sounds; an Assistant lives with the Client/s in their home, providing a bespoke service as desired by the Client/s themselves. We provide Live In Care assistance to a diverse range of people and cater for couples as well as those living alone.

Live In Care services are provided for those that are seeking companionship and assistance with housekeeping; to those that are physically/mentally disabled, the frail elderly, or terminally ill; and those that suffer from all manner of challenges such as:

  • Alzheimer’s
  • Cancer
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Dementia
  • ME
  • MS
  • Parkinson’s
  • Stroke

Live In Care services are typically useful for clients who need more than a few hours assistance a day, including:

  • Holiday companionship
  • Hospital discharge rehabilitation periods
  • Individuals who find residential care doesn't suit them
  • Individuals who wish to remain in their own homes and be part of their local community
  • Respite packages
  • Two assistant placements (for constant supervision)

Activities undertaken by our Live In Care assistants vary depending on the exact requirements of each client. These are certain activities that we regularly provide assistance with:

  • Companionship, social activities and outings
  • General housework, shopping, cooking, laundry and cleaning
  • Help with the care of family pets
  • Personal care - dressing/undressing, washing, showering, bathing, oral care, hair care, shaving, continence care and toileting
  • Round-the-clock reassurance - the peace of mind of knowing that someone is on-hand should they be needed
  • Total freedom of choice - such as choosing when to get up or go to bed and when to have meals prepared.

However, our Live In Care services are totally tailored to the requirements of our those we are looking after and so there are many more activities that can be undertaken for our clients.

We will be more than happy to discuss any support package you have in mind.

After being diagnosed with my condition I thought that my life would never feel “normal” again. The carer enables me to continue with my daily routine, assisting me in my home, taking me out to events, social gatherings, day trips and shopping, I am always kept so busy that I often have to remind myself of my condition. It is a pleasure for me to have your carer in my home, she is always upbeat and also understands when I am feeling down, thank you for matching me to such a friendly, reliable, kind carer.”

“One of your live in carers cared for my father for almost 9 months, she was the right person to come into the family. The help and support she gave was much needed. I am convinced that my father was able to remain at home for longer than expected as a result of a high level of care and the family are all extremely grateful for all that was done for him.”
Miss Collopy - Maidstone, February 2013
“When considering the options for my mother as she needed 24 hour care I was anxious at first with the thought of a live-in carer and worried if it would work out but I can honestly say that it has been the best decision for my mother. Tracy has fitted in so well and I class her as part of our family. Tracy has a genuine interest and makes suggestions that could help improve mothers care and she has a natural ability to make mother feel at ease. Tracy has given my mother confidence and she is able to achieve things I never thought were possible. I am so glad we chose to have a live-in carer and not put mother into a residential home. Mother is comfortable at home and has everything she could want for and more. I would like to thank Accessible Care for such a delightful service.”
Maria Rothery - Kingswood, October 2012
“Our live in carer who has been living-in with our dad for almost a year now is doing an excellent job, she works in a calm, caring and professional manner. She has built up a strong relationship with my father and has a clear understanding of his needs and what is expected from her. Loretta has always put my father’s well-being first above anything else. Myself and the other members of the family have built a good relationship up with her and we are completely happy with her and this has taken some of the pressure off of us as we know that father is being looked after. I would like to thank Accessible Care for matching my father’s needs to Loretta as she is the perfect carer.”
Nicki Day - Ashford, September 2012

Accessible Care gave us an alternative which meant that my mother and father were able to remain at home. A member of Accessible Care kindly visited us to discuss our options of a live in Carer. They were so helpful, within 72 hours everything was in place and a member of Accessible Care introduced the live in Carer to my mother and father.
