We are truly local

Many home care providers appear to be local but are purely divisions within a large national organisation. We are a privately owned independent company. We provide hourly home care services solely within Medway and Maidstone but can place a live in carer anywhere in the South East.

We have never let a client down. We have never and will never miss a scheduled care call, whatever the weather or circumstances. No other care provider can make this claim.

Our staff are all fully trained employees

All of our carers are employed staff, who have all been through our detailed training programme, even when they had previous experience. At no point do we ever consider using contract staff.

Our services are popular

In 2013 we undertook 60,000 hours of home care for our clients. Some other agencies (particularly national agencies with franchises) figures relate to their overall hours worked, not the hours within each geographical area. Our high levels of hours worked for clients within Kent demonstrate that our services are popular.

The Aims & Objectives of Accessible Care

Accessible Care aims to provide bespoke care packages developed to enhance independence, whilst providing support for people who cannot wholly look after themselves. The Agency aims to ensure that its Clients are the people who lead their care packages by promoting their active involvement both at initial assessment and at regular review. Our working methods have been developed to enable people to get involved in the planning and delivery of their own care, treatment and support.

We are able to provide our service in the homes of our Clients, at times convenient to them, and in ways they find most agreeable having given their express consent. Each care plan may be adapted at any time and we are willing to consider all wishes and preferences of our Clients, safe in the knowledge that often it is the minor details that help provide the best personalised care.

Our care plans are outcome driven, that is to say they are developed with an aim to achieve their desired outcome and may therefore be created so that they allow degrees or flexibility to suit individual need.

Accessible Care policies and procedures are written in compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and the Care Quality Commission’s Essential standards of quality and safety.

We have sound principles for the way in which we run our service; central to which is our belief that the rights of the Client are paramount.

Our Care Workers typically support with any combination of the tasks listed in the box below. The support given may be in the form of actual physical assistance or may be in the form of the prompting and supervision in cases where our clients are unable to make a decision for themselves in relation to performing any of the tasks without such prompting and supervision.
